HS girl hits full-court shot thanks to a fortituous bounce

Feb 12, 2013, 1:50 AM | Updated: 2:00 am

Anna Olsen of Lewis-Palmer High School in Colorado thought she was beating the buzzer when she threw up a full-court heave Friday night against nearby Cheyenne Mountain.

She was off by about 15 seconds, but that doesn’t make the ensuing events any less spectacular.

Olsen’s shot bounced about 12 feet away from the hoop, yet miraculously popped up and into the net.

It wasn’t the most conventional way to score three points, especially for a girl who averages 2.3 points per game on the season, nonetheless it was in a word…awesome.
