Reno Aces vs. Colorado Springs Sky Sox in Twitter ‘war’
Jun 6, 2013, 5:12 PM | Updated: 5:15 pm
The Reno Aces are the Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks.
They’re also pretty good at the whole Twitter thing.
As of June 6, the Aces’ official Twitter account (@AceBall) had over 13,500 followers — not bad for a Minor League team.
Every other team in the Pacific Coast League follows the Aces’ account, except for one — the Colorado Springs Sky Sox.
In an effort to get the Sky Sox to follow them, the social media peeps in Reno decided to create the hashtag #fakeskysoxfacts — you know, put a little pressure on them all while having fun.
The results have been pretty hilarious.
The @skysox are in town tomorrow for four games! They’re the only team in the conference that doesn’t follow @aceball back…
