K-State football coach congratulates opposing QB on upset

If 73-year-old coach Bill Snyder of the Kansas State Wildcats wasn’t beloved enough, his recent response to a 24-21 upset loss at the hands of North Dakota State will garner even more affection from college football fans around the country.

Instead of griping about officiating or simply ignoring the Bison feat, Snyder congratulated his opponents.

A photo surfaced Saturday of the coach’s letter to NDSU quarterback Brock Jensen. It is on Kansas State letterhead and written in Wildcat purple marker.

Snyder commends Jensen for playing “so very well, virtually error free and with such poise,” before instructing the senior to relay the message to his teammates.

“I wish you a great year and hope you achieve all your desires,” Snyder went on.
