Everyone has their fair share of bad days, right?
Sadly for Arizona State alum Phil Mickelson, his may have come during the third round of the U.S. Open Championship on Saturday.
Mickelson came into the day tied at 37th overall, needing a low score to climb back up the leaderboard.
Instead, he went 4-over through the first 12 holes and had a major collapse on hole 13.

Mickelson had an 18-foot bogey putt roll past the hole and towards the edge of the green. Instead of letting it continue, Mickelson jogged over and hit the ball while it was still moving.
Of course, it missed again.
When it was all said and done, Mickelson was assessed a two-stroke penalty for hitting the ball while still in play, forcing him to walk away with a 10.
His antics left commentators surprised and somewhat speechless, while some Twitter users loved every second of it.
