It was a big night at Chase Field for a special eight-year-old girl.

Hailey Dawson not only got to hang out with members of Arizona Diamondbacks before the game — clearly working on their handshake game and dance moves — but she got to throw out the first pitch as well.

Dawson was born with a rare disease called Poland Syndrome, which resulted in her missing a right pectoral muscle and three middle fingers and having an underdeveloped thumb and pinky finger. It causes birth defects in one out of every 200,000 births.
Pitch 22 for @Dbacks tonight! Can’t wait to get autographs on my new robotic hand. @SouzaJr @DPFreightTrain6 @cowings5 @jonjayU @JakeLamb18 @DanielDescalso @NickAhmed13 @JRMurphy513 @JMathSix @RobbieRay @mattykoch20 @PatrickCorbin46 @BigCountry1739 @silvinobracho @MLB pic.twitter.com/D5rxYN1LD8

But that isn’t stopping Dawson from accomplishing her goals.
We’re honored and excited to have @haileys_hand throw out today’s ceremonial first pitch on her #journeyfor30!
But first she made some new best friends and showed off her 🔥 #GenerationDbacks hand. pic.twitter.com/IZVWK3yQvz

She is on a country-wide mission to throw out the first pitch at all 30 MLB ballparks, which also included a puck drop during a Las Vegas Golden Knights game and a first pitch at Game 4 of the 2017 World Series.
Chase Field marks No. 22, with just eight to go.
