Arizona Cardinals head coach Steve Wilks has ruled offensive lineman Andre Smith and defensive tackle Olsen Pierre out for Sunday’s home game against the Chicago Bears.
Smith did not play last week in the Cardinals’ loss to the Los Angeles Rams due to an elbow injury. He was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday. The 31-year-old tackle signed with Arizona in March after eight seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals and one with the Minnesota Vikings in 2016.
John Wetzel started last week and will again on Sunday. Wetzel is a former rookie free agent out of Boston College and appeared in 34 total games with the Cardinals since 2016.
Pierre is dealing with a toe injury and did not practice on Wednesday and Thursday. He is currently listed as the back up third-year pro Robert Nkemdiche. Olsen played 14 games for Arizona in 2017 and finished with 22 total tackles and 5.5 sacks.
Defensive end Markus Golden (knee) and tight end Jermaine Gresham (Achilles) are listed as questionable for Sunday. Both players practiced fully during the week.
