It was a rough season for the Arizona Cardinals’ offensive line and it’s the main focus of need for the team in the offseason, according to Pro Football Focus.
PFF addressed the biggest needs for all 32 teams in the offseason and the Cardinals’ season-long offensive line woes stood out.
They finished with a 55.8 team pass-blocking grade, which was 4.5 points below any other NFL team.
The Cardinals were the only NFL team whose biggest offseason need was the entire offensive line. Some teams had certain offensive line positions as their biggest need, but not the overall line.
A healthier and hopefully more stable offensive line should offset some of the Cardinals’ 2018 problems.
A competent offensive line is a necessity in Kliff Kingsbury’s pass-friendly offense and for the development of quarterback Josh Rosen.
Rosen was sacked 45 times this past season — good for seventh most in the NFL — in just 13 starts.
