98.7 FM’s Bracket Boss tournament challenge features pros vs. hosts

Those who thought they knew college basketball better than their favorite sports-talk hosts at 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station got the chance to put that to the test.

Those who joined the 2019 Bracket Boss challenge got a chance to win $1,500 by competing against the hosts and anchors of of Doug & Wolf, Bickley & Marotta, Burns & Gambo and The Rundown with Luke Lapinski.

This year’s Bracket Boss came with an added twist.

Our collection of eight 98.7 FM VIPs are competing for bragging rights against eight former Arizona pro athletes: former Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer, Suns guard Eddie House, Cardinals kicker Jay Feely, Cardinals linebacker Lorenzo Alexander, Diamondbacks slugger Luis Gonzalez, Cardinals offensive lineman Max Starks, Coyotes winger Paul Bissonnette and Coyotes captain Shane Doan.

The cumulative points by the team of pros will be stacked up against the team of hosts, including Doug Franz, Ron Wolfley, Paul Calvisi, Dan Bickley, Vince Marotta, John Gambadoro, Dave Burns and Luke Lapinski.
