Diamondbacks announce 3 new food items in partnership with SI

Mar 18, 2019, 2:11 PM

The Arizona Diamondbacks will have three wild and crazy food items for a limited time at Chase Field this season as part of a partnership with the Sports Illustrated TV series The Wilder Project.

The team released a teaser video on Monday that gave a preview of how the food items were created by D-backs executive chef Stephen Tilder alongside the program’s host, Charlotte Wilder.

First up was the SI Cover Dog, an 18-inch bratwurst with jalapeño-apple coleslaw, fried mac and cheese, barbecue aioli, beer pickles and green onion.

Next was the Reuben Some Dirt On It Dog, which is an 18-inch hot dog with Reuben mac and cheese, fried pickles, green onion and “a special secret sauce.”

And lastly, the D-backs will sell a hot dog that you eat at any time of day. It’s the All Day Breakfast Dog, which has hash browns, gravy, cheese, bacon, fried eggs, hot sauce and green onion.

While the team said that the items will be available for a limited time, it wasn’t immediately clear when and where fans can find them at the stadium. Just look for the crazy food items at Chase Field this summer, and more info on the food will be available when The Wilder Project comes out this Wednesday.
