One of the best things about becoming a pro football player? Seeing your likeness in video game form.

For NFL rookies, it’s part of the initiation process.

EA Sports released the Madden NFL 20 player ratings on Monday, and Kyler Murray and the others, as expected, got a little humbled. Murray, the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft, is the top-rated quarterback. But with an overall rating of 73, he’s got much to prove.

“Seventy-three? I am Kyler Murray and I am not happy with my Madden rating. That’s tough,” he said in a video released by EA on Monday.

“Nah, I’m happy with it,” he says later. “It’s cool.”

Fourth-round pick and fellow Cardinal Hakeem Butler also isn’t so sure about his rating.

“I don’t know about that,” he says in the promo bit.

It’s actually Cardinals rookie cornerback and second-round pick Byron Murphy who has the top rating of Arizona’s rookie class. He begins his virtual existence with a 75 rating.

Meanwhile, the three top rookies on Madden are all defensive linemen; Quinnen Williams (80), Ed Oliver (79) and Nick Bosa (78) are projected to make the biggest instant impacts in the video game world.

As for other Cardinals rookies, receivers Andy Isabella and Butler come in with an equal rating of 72, defensive end Zach Allen and safety Deionte Thompason are at 69 and receiver KeeSean Johnson begins with a 67.
