Two Arizona Diamondbacks prospects made the Arizona Fall League All-Star Game (or Fall Stars Game) roster.

Outfielder Seth Beer, acquired from Houston in the Zack Greinke trade in July, and infielder Geraldo Perdomo will play for the Eastern All-Stars, representing the Salt River Rafters and the D-backs.

Beer has been a firecracker in the AFL so far. Through 10 games, he is 14-for-37 (.378 average) and he is generating good power with a .514 slugging percentage.

He is ranked the fourth-top prospect in Arizona’s system by MLB.com, but when Beer got traded to the D-backs, he struggled to find the rhythm he had in Houston’s system.

For Double-A Corpus Christi (Astros), he was obliterating the baseball with 16 home runs in 63 games and an OPS of .939. His final stretch of the season in Jackson (D-backs Double-A) was poor (.615 OPS), but he has seemingly found his stroke again in the AFL.

Perdomo has been in the D-backs’ farm system since he signed as an international prospect at 16-years old in 2016.

MLB.com’s prospect watch praised his defensive prowess, stating that he “may be the best defensive player in Arizona’s system.” That scouting report eluded to his strong arm and range at shortstop.

Offensively, he has been solid with a .288 average in the AFL and has swiped two bases. He had 26 stolen bases in the minors this past season.

Beer and Perdomo will be teammates with seven top-100 prospects, according to Baseball America, including Jo Adell (6th-ranked by MLB.com) and Royce Lewis (9th-ranked).

The game will be played on Saturday at 5:08 p.m. local time at Salt River Fields. Streams for the game will be live on MLB.com and Topps.com.
