Around this time one year ago the Arizona Cardinals were
in the midst of preparing to draft LSU cornerback Patrick
Peterson 5th overall.
That worked out pretty well.
But now the Cardinals are back at it, looking to find
someone with the 13th pick in the draft. Will the right
offensive lineman be available to them? Or maybe the
Cardinals finally land a receiver to replace Anquan
Boldin.
Take a look and see what’s likely in the 2012 Arizona
Cardinals Draft Stock Tracker below, and for all the
latest
rumors check out our Mock Draft Tracker.
Rank | Player | Reason |
#1![]() |
![]() Michael Floyd, Notre Dame |
Larry Fitzgerald wants him and the Cardinals really enjoyed their visit with the guy. Will Floyd last to 13? The team is probably hoping so. |
Rank | Player | Reason |
#2![]() |
![]() Riley Reiff, Iowa |
Reiff will be the choice, according to ESPN’s Mel Kiper and Todd McShay. |
Rank | Player | Reason |
#3![]() |
![]() Melvin Ingram, S. Carolina |
Our own Doug Franz would love to see Ingram there at 13. The odds, though, may not be in their favor. |
Rank | Player | Reason |
#4![]() |
![]() David DeCastro, Stanford |
DeCastro may be the best guard in the draft, but the Cardinals don’t need a guard and may look to address other areas. |
Rank | Player | Reason |
#5![]() |
![]() Cordy Glenn, Georgia |
ESPN’s Todd McShay says the Cardinals may trade down and take Glenn. Sounds well and good, but would they still take him 13th if no trade happens? |
Rank | Player | Reason |
#6![]() |
![]() Jonathan Martin, Stanford |
The only reason Martin’s name has been brought up in connection with the Cardinals is because of their need at tackle. So, he’s on the list, but… |
Rank | Player | Reason |
#7![]() |
![]() Courtney Upshaw, Alabama |
Upshaw is projected to go after the Cardinals pick, but would be a solid fit as a linebacker in the team’s 3-4 scheme. |
Rank | Player | Reason |
#8![]() |
![]() Dontari Poe, Memphis |
Poe would be solid, but chances are there will be players with more skill who fill a greater need available at 13, especially since the Cardinals took a 3-4 DT in the first round just two years ago. |
Rank | Player | Reason |
#9![]() |
![]() Mike Adams, Ohio State |
Adams will almost surely be there at 13 for the Cardinals, but there are a few tackles they’d take before selecting the talented-but-troubled Adams. |
Rank | Player | Reason |
#10![]() |
![]() Justin Blackmon, OK State |
Would the Cardinals take Blackmon if he was there at 13? Sure. But don’t expect him to be there. Don’t expect him to be anywhere close to there. |
