The Arizona Cardinals signed cornerback B.W. Webb to a one-year deal on Friday, the team announced.

Arizona has likely lost starting cornerback Robert Alford for the year due to a pectoral injury, and is searching for depth.

Chris Jones and Kevin Peterson are among the players already on the roster who will get reps at corner opposite Patrick Peterson, but Byron Murphy is also a consideration to slide to the outside from his slot duties.

Webb has spent seven years in the NFL, appearing in games over six seasons with six different teams. He has played for the Cowboys, Steelers, Titans, Saints, Giants and Bengals. Amazingly, despite the bouncing around, he’s played in double-digit games five of those six seasons, as he played only nine games in 2015.

Webb’s most productive season was in 2018, when he played all 16 games and was a starter in 13 for the Giants. He made 59 tackles with an interception, six passes defensed, a forced fumble and a sack.

The 30-year-old went to college at William & Mary and was a fourth-round pick by the Dallas Cowboys in 2013.

Arizona also reportedly was expected to sign cornerback Ken Crawley pending a coronavirus test and physical, but that deal is still not official.
