PHOENIX MERCURY

Nowhere for refs to hide from Diana Taurasi in WNBA bubble

You’d have to be living under a rock to not know you don’t mess with the GOAT, a.k.a. Phoenix Mercury guard Diana Taurasi, and get off scot free.

Midway through the third quarter of the Mercury’s matchup with the Minnesota Lynx, Taurasi was called for a shooting foul she did not agree with.

Letting the refs know her displeasure with the call, Taurasi cut straight to the point. Shoutout to the WNBA bubble, or Wubble, for the crystal clear sound.

“I’ll see you in the lobby later,” Taurasi said Friday right before the officiating crew hit her with a technical foul.

Maybe Taurasi was simply just been trying to let the ref know about the missed call, even offering a meet-up in the lobby later so she could iron out the details.

Probably not what was intended, but the exchange between Taurasi and the officiating crew caught fire on social media:

Pro tip: Next time you want to call a foul on Taurasi, make sure it’s the right call or be ready to meet near the front desk.
