The Arizona Cardinals signed cornerback De’Vante Bausby on Friday, six days after he was released by the Denver Broncos.
The 27-year-old Bausby appeared in four games with Denver, recording five tackles with three passes defensed.
He’s the fifth cornerback on the 53-man roster, joining Patrick Peterson, Dre Kirkpatrick, Byron Murphy and Kevin Peterson.
An undrafted free agent out of Pittsburg State in 2015, Bausby didn’t make an NFL appearance until a run with the Chicago Bears in 2016. He played for Philadelphia in 2018 before joining the Broncos last season.
Bausby, who is 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds, brings 19 games of experience with three starts and has played at both nickel and cornerback. He has a career 44 tackles (37 solo) with six passes defensed.
Arizona added Bausby with other reinforcements from the practice squad potentially contributing in the future.
Ten-year pro Prince Amukamara signed with the Cardinals on Oct. 13 and is close to being prepped to contribute, defensive coordinator Vance Joseph said on Wednesday.
Undrafted rookie Jace Whittaker is the other cornerback on the practice squad, though he is likely more of a developmental player.
