New meme D.J. Humphries had every emotion before Cardinals Hail Mary

Mouth agape, left tackle D.J. Humphries left the mob around DeAndre Hopkins after the receiver had reeled in an improbable, 43-yard Hail Mary catch that put the Arizona Cardinals ahead of the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night.

He walked back to the sideline with a few ticks left on the clock, hands in the air, with the disbelief very apparently overwhelming him.

“Literally, that face, I just wiped that look off my face this morning actually,” Humphries said on Monday.

“I didn’t think the camera would see me making that face on the field. I got a kick out of it.”

Congrats, D.J. You’ve been memed.

The video taken by CBS Sports’ cameras went viral the night prior.

Of course, the man making the most rounds on highlight reels was Hopkins, whose Jordan gloves were the only visible thing for most people inside State Farm Stadium as they snatched the ball out of the air with three Buffalo defenders surrounding him.

Murray’s scrambling before his throw, by the way, came as Humphries was responsible for a near-sack that might have ended the game.

The Arizona tackle slipped while blocking defensive end Mario Addison on the edge. Once free, Addison made a diving tackle attempt that Murray escaped before making a throw on the run that went about 52 air yards.

“I fell like in the middle of the play,” Humphries said. “I fall and I lose the edge, so I thinking, ‘Oh, he’s going to get him.’ So it goes from, ‘Oh, my God, I’m going to give up a sack,’ to ‘Oh, I forced an interception,’ to ‘Oh my goodness, it’s a touchdown! We just won! The game is over!’

“It was a lot of emotions probably within three seconds of each other.”

Once Humphries saw receiver Andy Isabella punching Hopkins on the ground in the end zone, he knew the catch had given Arizona a 32-30 lead. Humphries threw his helmet aside, went to celebrate with his teammates and then walked around partially in awe — but the left tackle was also looking around the sideline for his helmet.

“I’m thinking like, ‘Where’s my helmet at? I don’t have my helmet. We have to go back on the field,'” Humphries said. “Markus (Golden) comes out of nowhere with my helmet.”

It was a big save by Golden before Humphries walked out for a two-point conversion play.

Oh, and it was big save by Hopkins, too.
