The Arizona Cardinals placed defensive linemen Corey Peters and Jordan Phillips on injured reserve ahead of the team’s Thursday Night Football matchup with the Seattle Seahawks.
Head coach Kliff Kingsbury had already ruled Peters out for the remainder of the season on Wednesday after the defensive tackle went down with a knee injury in the team’s win over the Buffalo Bills last Sunday.
“He’s a tough loss, based on his leadership and his character and what he brings to our locker room. We’re just praying for a speedy recovery,” Kingsbury said.
Peters’ season concludes with 10 tackles, three for losses, 2.0 sacks and four QB hits in nine games played.
Phillips heads to the IR with a hamstring injury after accumulating 10 tackles, one for loss, 2.0 sacks, three QB hits, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in eight games.
Additionally, the Cardinals signed tight end Evan Baylis and linebacker Reggie Walker to the active roster from the practice squad.
Baylis has played in three games for the Cardinals this season after the team elevated the tight end to the active roster from the practice squad.
Walker played in the team’s Week 6 win over the Dallas Cowboys, recording a tackle.
Arizona also elevated DL Michael Dogbe and running back D.J. Foster to the active roster from the practice squad.
Dogbe saw time in the Cardinals’ Week 9 loss to Miami. He played in eight games for Arizona as a rookie in 2019, registering five tackles, one for loss, and a QB hit.
Foster has seen action in four games this season, recording a carry for two yards and a catch for seven.
