Phoenix Rising FC announced on Thursday that the club has signed former Orange County SC midfielder Aodhan Quinn to its 2021 USL Championship roster.

The signing marks the third in as many days for PRFC after adding the likes of center back Tobi Adewole and re-signing wingback Joey Calistri in consecutive days.

“I’m excited to join this great organization,” Quinn said in a press release. “After competing against Rising for years, it will be nice to play for the club’s amazing fans.

“With all the talented players they are bringing back, I’m excited to be able to compete for and hopefully bring a USL championship to Phoenix.”

Quinn doesn’t need an introduction to the league or Phoenix Rising fans, as the 28-year-old has been a force in USLC since joining Orlando City SC back in 2014.

In 172 regular-season and playoff matches in his USL Championship career, Quinn has scored 31 goals and notched 33 assists for the likes of Louisville City FC (2015-16), FC Cincinnati (2017) and Orange County (2018-20).

The midfielder’s best season came in 2018 when he finished as a finalist for the MVP award and was named to USLC’s All-League First Team, the latter of which also featured PRFC captain Solomon Asante.

“I have always felt that Aodhan is one of, if not, the best midfielder in the league,” manager Rick Schantz said in the release. “He is extremely versatile. He can help defensively or score goals.

“He is also very good in possession and will help us during our build-up play. Aodhan has been a leader his entire career. He will fit right in with our group and help us compete for more trophies.”

Phoenix Rising now has 12 players signed to its roster ahead of the 2021 USLC campaign:

Goalkeepers: Zac Lubin

Fullbacks: Darnell King and Joey Calistri

Center backs: Joey Farrell and Tobi Adewole

Midfielders: Jon Bakero, Kevon Lambert, Aodhan Quinn and Sam Stanton

Forwards: Solomon Asante, Rufat Dadashov and Santi Moar
