Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins and offensive tackle D.J. Humphries have some new hardware to add to their collections.
The duo were honored by the Arizona Chapter of the Pro Football Writers of America on Wednesday.
Hopkins received the Lloyd Herberg MVP award for his outstanding play this season.
With one game to go in his first season as a Cardinal, Hopkins has recorded 111 receptions (franchise record) for 1,372 yards and six touchdowns. He’s second in the league in receptions to only Buffalo Bills WR Stefon Diggs and is third in receiving yards.
This year marks Hopkins’ fourth with at least 100 receptions and is his sixth 1,000-yard season.
For his efforts, Hopkins was named to his fifth Pro Bowl.
Humphries was bestowed with the Steve Schoenfeld Good Guy Award for his cooperation and openness while talking with the media this year.
The tackle has started every game this season and has aided the team in becoming the third-best rushing attack (145.9 yards per game) and the No. 2 offense in the NFL (395.9 yards per game). The Cardinals are also tied for second with 22 rushing touchdowns.
