The Arizona Wildcats were represented well in the Pac-12’s end-of-the-year awards on Tuesday.

Highlighting the honors was sophomore Jordan Brown, who was named the conference’s Sixth Man of the Year.

Coming off the bench in 14 of the team’s 20 Pac-12 games, Brown averaged 8.8 points and 4.7 rebounds in 18.8 minutes per league outing, shooting 51.5% from the field.

As for All-Pac-12 First-Team honors, those belong to junior guard James Akinjo.

Akinjo, who was also named an Associated Press second-teamer, paced the Wildcats in points (15.6), assists (5.4) and steals (1.4) over the course of 34.9 minutes per game this season. He shot 37.9% from the field and 40.8% from long range. He’s compiled seven games with at least 20 points.

The young guys also made a mark this season, with Bennedict Mathurin and Azuolas Tubelis being named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman Team. Mathurin averaged 10.8 points (fourth on the team), 4.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 25 minutes per game.

Tubelis, who was also an All-Pac-12 Second-Team honorable mention, led the team in rebounds (7.1) to go along with 12.2 points per game.
