Everybody else has one, so why not?

According to various reports, Tucson will host a college football bowl game for the first time since 1999 in 2015.

The Arizona Bowl will be played December 29 at Arizona Stadium, the home of the Arizona Wildcats, and will pit teams from the Mountain West Conference and Conference USA against one another.

Along with new bowls in Orlando, Fla. and Austin, Tex., the Arizona Bowl brings the total number of postseason college football contests to 42.

The Cactus Bowl, which earlier this week announced a three-year relocation from Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe to Phoenix’s Chase Field, originated in Tucson in 1989 as the Copper Bowl.

For 11 years, Tucson hosted the game, including two appearances by the Wildcats (1989 and 1997).

This means the state of Arizona will host four postseason college football contests this upcoming season: the Ticket City Cactus Bowl in Phoenix, the Arizona Bowl in Tucson and the Vizio Fiesta Bowl and the College Football Playoff Championship Game in Glendale.

An official announcement is expected to be made later in the week.
