The role of a punter is often overlooked when it comes to the game of football, but that does not mean it isn’t important.
Therefore, the Arizona Wildcats having a good one in redshirt senior Drew Riggleman is certainly not a bad thing.
Riggleman was named to the Ray Guy Award watch list Thursday, putting him in the early running for the award given to the nation’s best punter.
Last season, Riggleman earned All-Pac-12 Second Team honors after punting 76 times for 3,501 yards. His 46.1 yards-per-punt averaged ranked second in the conference and fourth among FBS players.
