Arizona Cardinals’ Chris Banjo: Cornerback or quarterback?

The Arizona Cardinals’ most memorable pass of Week 17 didn’t come from their 2019 first-round pick Kyler Murray.
It didn’t come from any of the team’s backup signal callers, either.
No, that honor belongs to safety-turned-gunslinger Chris Banjo.
Looking to keep their second-quarter drive alive, the Cardinals pulled off some trickery in the form of a fake punt.
And right there to test out his passing chops was Banjo.
Taking the direct snap, Banjo sat back and took to the air, looking for running back Jonathan Ward.

Twenty-three yards and an insane one-handed, off-the-helmet catch later, Banjo was a cool 1-for-1 and the Cardinals were able to turn the special teams play into points eight plays later when Murray linked up with wide receiver Antoine Wesley for the one-yard touchdown.
Banjo wasn’t done relishing in his QB duties, however.
After the game, the safety made a claim for as the team’s fourth-string signal caller. Twenty minutes after he posted, the Cardinals went a step further.

Not too shabby, Banjo.
