There is getting into it on the court and leaving it there.
And then there is getting into it on the court and taking a feud onto social media.
Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker and the Toronto Raptors mascot, who is simply known as The Raptor, are doing the latter.
The quick rehash: Booker was shooting a free throw in the Suns’ win over Toronto on Tuesday but was displeased after the mascot was waving and leaping to distract him in a fan-less arena. Booker’s complaints got The Raptor banished to the side of the court, and perhaps a stern talking to.
Booker very much seems to enjoyed what happened and on Wednesday night changed his profile picture to one of his defeated foe.

The Raptors mascot soon afterward shot back, updating his profile picture.

While Toronto fans may have found it unsettling an NBA player used to playing in front of thousands of unruly fans would be upset at a mascot for doing his job, it is apparent that The Raptor indeed was breaking some rules.
Whatever your view of it, the feud has led to fun memes, some of which you may understand and others that you do not.
