The Arizona Wildcats are the No. 1 seed in the South Region of the NCAA Tournament.

They were ranked No. 2 in the country behind Gonzaga going into the postseason where they won the Pac-12 Tournament on Saturday.

FanDuel Sportsbook gives the Wildcats strong odds to make it deep into the tournament.

Arizona is +145 to reach the Final Four. Those are the second-highest odds behind Gonzaga’s -140.

Kansas is third at +210 followed by Baylor and Kentucky at +240.

Arizona has not reached the Final Four since 2000-01, when it lost the title game against Duke. The Wildcats won the championship in 1996-97.

They have the second-best odds to win it again this year, at +600. Gonzaga has +300 odds and Kentucky is third at +850.

The Wildcats (31-3) will take the court in San Diego on Friday at 4:30 p.m. They will face the winner of Bryant and Wright State, which will be played on Wednesday.

Wright State is a two-point favorite.

Villanova is the No. 2 seed in the South Region, Tennessee is third and Illinois is fourth.

Arizona already faced three teams in its quadrant of the bracket this season. It beat Illinois, 83-79, on Dec. 11 before losing to Tennessee, 77-73, on Dec. 22. Both of those were true road games.

The Wildcats also defeated the No. 11 seed Michigan Wolverines, 80-62, in Las Vegas on Nov. 21.
