The Arizona Cardinals travel to the Cincinnati Bengals for their first preseason game of the year on Friday.
Neither side plans to play their starting quarterback, nor much of their projected starters for that matter.
Instead, the game will largely feature players fighting for roster spots with a few potential starting candidates sprinkled in.
For the Cardinals, running back Eno Benjamin is slated to start alongside wide receivers Greg Dortch, Andy Isabella and Andre Baccellia. Trace McSorley will man starting quarterback duties.
On the Bengals’ side of things, the tentative plan is to roll out Brandon Allen as the team’s starting QB for the first half. Jake Browning is expected to take over in the second half.
First-round pick and safety Dax Hill and projected starting left guard Jackson Carman are expected to start for Cincinnati.
