Fantasy Football Fix: Fantasy Outsiders Week 7 Recap

Oct 28, 2015, 12:26 PM

DOUG 116.3 – 99.1 Calvisi

Difference Makers: Doug overcame an awful performance by the Texans D (-3 points) to pick up his sixth consecutive victory, knocking off his morning show counterpart in the process. Tom Brady’s 30-point effort helped, as did 20 from Calvin Johnson and 19 from bye-week fill-in Ladarius Green. Despite the loss, Calvisi has still scored the most points (954) of anyone this season.

LUKE 179.8 – 78.3 Byrd

Difference Makers: Everybody on Luke’s team scored, nobody on Byrd’s team did. That’s basically it. Mike Evans and Jordan Reed chipped in a combined 61 points for Luke, who turned in the high score of the week, ran his record to a perfect 7-0 and beat his Saturday co-host by over 100 points. Byrd got 19 from Carson Palmer, but was once again disappointed by Carlos Hyde (4).

MAROTTA 115.8 – 93.6 Wolf

Difference Makers: After stumbling all over himself to the tune of an 0-5 start, Marotta dropped Peyton Manning — and has now picked up two straight wins. This week, it was Arian Foster (30) who got the job done for him, while a last-second Jeremy Maclin absence cost Wolf. Marotta is somehow just one game out of a playoff spot, though it should be noted that he’s voluntarily starting Josh McCown.

BURNS 138.6 – 89.5 Paige

Difference Makers: After a rough four-week stretch, Burns has now won two in a row. Lamar Miller erupted for 39 points, while Julio Jones chipped in another 24, pulling Burns into a tie with Paige for third in the division. Paige got 27 from Ryan Tannehill, but a combined 0 points from LeGarrette Blount and Heath Miller didn’t exactly help.

BICKLEY 118.9 – 79.2 B-Train

Difference Makers: Bickley ran his record to 6-1, getting 24 from Amari Cooper and 23 from the Rams D to pick up yet another win. The Andrew-Luck-to-T.Y.-Hilton connection netted B-Train a combined 55 points, but it wasn’t enough.
