Vontaze Burfict’s stock keeps on falling

Vontaze Burfict started the season with tons of hype
surrounding him.
Most believed he was one if not the nation’s top
linebackers, a surefire top five pick in the NFL Draft.
But so far this season Burfict hasn’t really lived up to
any hype, as he’s played like just another linebacker in
tallying 36 tackles, four sacks and one interception.
Arizona Sports 620’s Doug Franz says Burfict has done
nothing but hurt his draft status this season.
“He’s gone from top four, top five pick to maybe late
first, early second round pick,” Franz said. “Now he’s
dropped to an outstanding weak-side pass rushing
linebacker in a 3-4, but no longer the dominating force
that you thought he was. He just has not improved, he
hasn’t listened an awful lot and he hasn’t learned from
his previous mistakes.”
Burfict, who has a history of committing silly penalties,
was flagged twice for personal fouls in Saturday’s loss to
Oregon.
