The Arizona State University Sports Hall of Fame has announced six athletes for the 2014 induction class.

The class is headlined by former Sun Devil standouts, baseball player Andre Ethier and football player Grey Ruegamer.

Ethier was two-time first-team All-Pac-10 performer at Arizona State, and finished his college career with a .371 batting average, 14 home runs and 118 RBIs. The outfielder is in the ninth year of his MLB career, all with the Los Angeles Dodgers, where he has been a two-time All-Star and won a Gold Glove in 2011.

Ruegamer was a four-year starting center and two-time All-American with the Sun Devils, playing a crucial role in Arizona State’s 1996 team that went 11-0 in the regular season. Ruegamer played nine years in the NFL, winning Super Bowls with the New England Patriots in 2002 and New York Giants in 2008.

This class will feature the first husband and wife inductees, as former gymnast Maggie (Germaine) Ethier will be inducted along with her husband, Andre. Other inductees are track and cross country star Lisa Aguilera, softball player Kara Brun and soccer player Amy LePeilbet.

The inductees will be honored at halftime of Arizona State’s Hall of Fame football game against Stanford on Oct. 18 at Sun Devil Stadium.

The Hall of Fame Luncheon and Induction Ceremony will be held on Friday, Oct. 17 at the Phoenix Country Club from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

The event is a part of ASU’s campus-wide Family Weekend from Oct. 17-19. The celebration features the traditional Family Weekend tailgate before the ASU football game, along with a family reception, faculty meet-and-greet opportunities, and campus tours.

Tickets for the luncheon cost $50 per person or $500 for a table of 10.
