Cardinals bring Todd Heap home

A local guy, it was always thought that Todd Heap would be
a good fit for the tight end-starved Arizona Cardinals.

Sunday the sides agreed, coming to terms on a two-year
contract that will bring the former Mesa Mountain View and
Arizona State University star home.

As he
was visiting with the Jets, former Ravens TE Todd Heap
reached agreement with the Arizona Cardinals on a two-year
deal.less than a minute ago via UberSocial for

Though not the star he was earlier in his pro career with
the Ravens, Heap is still an effective player catching the
ball.

The 31-year-old had 40 receptions last year for 461 yards
and five touchdowns, and has 467 career catches and 41
career scores.
