Report: Bobby Hurley ‘serious candidate’ in Arizona State coaching search

Buffalo coach Bobby Hurley is a “serious candidate” in the search for Arizona State’s new head basketball coach, according to CBS Sports’ Gary Parrish.
Bobby Hurley has emerged as a serious candidate at Arizona State, sources told @CBSSports. Some sources have identified him as the leader.

Parrish reports two sources referred to Hurley as the “frontrunner”.
Hurley is currently on vacation in Aruba and is expected to return on Thursday, according to Parrish’s sources.
Hurley, 43, was a former star point guard at Duke (where his No. 11 jersey is retired) and is 42-20 in his two years with Buffalo.
