Larry Fitzgerald responds to father’s ‘inflammatory’ comments about Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals snuck their way to a season-opening win over the San Diego Chargers on Monday night, even with star receiver Larry Fitzgerald only making one reception all evening.
Although Fitzgerald’s 22-yard catch was instrumental in setting up the game-winning touchdown, the eight-time Pro Bowler’s father took to Twitter after the game to air his thoughts on how his son was utilized in the Cardinals’ win.
As a child teaching my son football.I was a lineman.I told them every play I hit somebody.He said dad I want to be a receiver.I told him-

The elder Fitzgerald obviously wasn’t happy about how the 11-year veteran was only targeted four times in the opener. This isn’t the first time Fitzgerald Sr. has voiced his displeasure with Cardinals formations and play calling.
The Cardinals wideout apparently felt a need to address his father’s post-game tweets, referencing them in a tweet of his own Tuesday night.
My fathers inflammatory comments dont reflect my feelings or mood. We're 1-0 & working tirelessly to be 2-0 this week thats my only concern.

Although calling his father’s comments “inflammatory” might be over-the-top, the Cardinals star seemed to clear up any concerns in one tweet, all while refusing to echo Fitzgerald Sr.’s sentiments.
