UA-UCLA preview: No. 12 Arizona Wildcats must slow Brett Hundley to improve to 7-1

On one hand, the UCLA Bruins haven’t looked like the national championship contender many experts thought they would be — most recently during last weekend’s 40-37 double-overtime escape at lowly Colorado.
On the other hand, junior Brett Hundley really likes playing against the Arizona Wildcats — and if No. 12 UA (6-1, 3-1 Pac-12) is going to upend the No. 22 Bruins (6-2, 3-2) in Pasadena, California on Saturday, it’ll have to find a way to slow down the dual-threat quarterback.
“The biggest difference preparing for him is his willingness to run, and when he does run, he’s fast. He’s a big guy that breaks a lot of tackles,” said UA coach Rich Rodriguez of UCLA’s 6-foot-3, 226-pound QB.
A Chandler High School product, Hundley has completed a Pac-12-best 70.8 percent of his passes this season, throwing 14 touchdowns and just four interceptions. He also has 415 yards and five TDs on the ground.
