The No. 3 Arizona Wildcats placed their foot squarely on the gas pedal as soon as they took the McKale Center court Tuesday night, and they kept it there for a full 40 minutes.

Led by 18 points from freshman forward Stanley Johnson and 15 points apiece from junior forward Brandon Ashley and junior guard Gabe York, the Wildcats routed Oakland 101-64 in Tucson to remain undefeated.

The Wildcats opened the game shooting 8-for-10 from the floor and jumped out to leads of 24-3 and 33-8 behind their suffocating defense. UA shot 55 percent from the field for the game and limited the Golden Grizzlies (4-7) to 35.6 percent.

Here’s a look at how Arizona improved to 11-0 with two games remaining on its non-conference schedule, by the numbers:

1

The Wildcats topped the century mark in points for the first time this season.

5

UA’s depth was on display Tuesday, as five players scored in double figures. In addition, freshman forward Craig Victor added nine points and sophomore guard Elliott Pitts added eight off the bench.

5.9

Arizona limited the Golden Grizzlies to 1-of-17 shooting from the floor (5.9 percent) to open the game.

10

Point guard T.J. McConnell had more assists (10) Tuesday than Oakland had as a team (nine). The senior added four points, five rebounds and three steals, and he had a turnover-free evening.

27

Arizona won its 27th consecutive home game Tuesday. The Wildcats will head on the road for their final two non-conference games against UNLV and UTEP before opening Pac-12 play at home against Arizona State on Jan. 4.

28

Fresh off out-rebounding Michigan 40-26 in Saturday’s 27-point blowout of the Wolverines, UA enjoyed a plus-28 rebound margin (50-22) against Oakland, led by eight from Ashley.

43

They didn’t shoot especially well from the free-throw line, but the Wildcats went to the line 43 times Tuesday, connecting on 28 of them.
