The Pulse: Kerwynn Williams voted the Arizona Cardinals’ MVP in win over Chiefs

The Arizona Cardinals got back in the win column Sunday with a 17-14 home victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. It wasn’t the prettiest of victories, but Arizona was able to put a stop to its two-game skid and earn its 10th win of the season.

On Monday, Dec. 8, we asked who was the Cardinals’ MVP in the win in our Sanderson Ford Poll Question of the Day, which can be found midway down the right-hand column of our home page.

We gave readers four options, and the undisputed winner was running back Kerwynn Williams, who ran for 100 yards on 19 carries. The second-year RB garnered a whopping 700 of the 825 votes (85 percent) in the poll.

Becoming the Cardinals’ first 100-yard rusher this season has a way of earning you such honors.

Defensive end Frostee Rucker was second in the poll with 60 votes (7 percent), as he had three tackles and two sacks in the victory.

Wide receiver Jaron Brown caught two passes for 48 yards, including the go-ahead touchdown, and he earned 37 votes (4 percent) for his performance. Defensive back Justin Bethel recovered a crucial fumble and had several tackles on special teams en route to garnering 28 votes (3 percent) in our poll.

Although we didn’t list them as options, a few other Cardinals deserve a shout-out for how they performed Sunday, such as Michael Floyd (four catches for 85 yards), Patrick Peterson (eight tackles and one sack), Alex Okafor (two tackles, one sack and the game’s only interception) and Deone Bucannon (three tackles and one critical forced fumble).
