Mike Bolsinger steps up when D-backs needed him most

Mike Bolsinger turned in the gutsiest performance of the Diamondbacks’ season. The Diamondbacks were in dire need of a quality start from one of their starters and Bolsinger delivered in spades.

Here’s his line: 6.2IP 4H 2BB 1R (Not earned) 7K

Yeah it was the Cubs, but to do it when your team had to have it, to do it when the manager’s job may be on the line, to do it when your first start didn’t go well, to do it with your family watching in a stadium you dreamed about pitching in…that’s grit, that’s guts, that’s circumference.

We will see where it goes from here for Bolsinger but for a day, with all due respect to Colin Kaepernick, he was the man.
