Kevin Durant pays a visit to Moore following tornado

While Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant is not a native of Oklahoma, the state has more or less accepted him as its adopted son over the last five years.

On the court, Durant’s made four All-Star Games, won three scoring titles and led the Thunder franchise to its first NBA Finals appearance since leaving Seattle in 2008.

But it’s off the court where the superstar has made his mark with fans, especially in time of need.

Durant made news last week by donating $1 million to the relief efforts following the devastating tornado that ravaged Moore, a suburb of Oklahoma City.

While both Nike and the Thunder matched the generous donation, Durant did one better and also took a visit to the damaged area.
