So in case you didn’t yet know, we have some bad news for you Diamondbacks fans.

How should we let you know? Gently?

There’s not really a good way to go about it, so here it is: former D-back A.J. Pollock is leaving in free agency. You probably knew that. But, um, yeah … he’s signing with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Don’t kill the messenger. We know Pollock choosing to join the hated NL West rivals hurts a lot more than most departures of key players. How much money did he sign for?

Um … ugh. OK. He’s reportedly going to make somewhere between $50 and $60 million, according to the reports. Yes, yes, I know that’s not as much money as we thought he’d get. Yeah, I know that Arizona should have tried to retain him if we’re talking that ballpark figure. I hear you.

Would you feel better if we showed you some reactionary memes following the news that you can relate to? Let’s do that.

Also, you really should calm down — OK, OK, it’s fine, get the anger out.
