Ketel Marte’s first inning home run tied for the longest home run of the season in all of Major League Baseball with Nomar Mazara of the Texas Rangers.

The 482-foot blast had an exit velocity of 112 miles per hour and a launch angle of 23 degrees.

The long ball came off New York Mets left-hander Steven Matz.

It was the Diamondbacks’ league-leading 34th home run off a lefty this season. Eduardo Escobar added the 35th later in the first inning.

According to the D-backs, the smack was tied for the sixth-longest home run ever at Chase Field and it was tied for the longest home run in D-backs history since Statcast began recording home run distances in 2015.

For Marte, it was the first leadoff home run of his career. It also tied his career high in home runs in a season with 14.

His two-RBI single in the eighth inning gave him 43 RBI on the season and bumped him up to the top-10 in the NL and tied with Anthony Rizzo of the Cubs and Bryce Harper of the Phillies.
