Where does Peterson pick leave the QB position?

Apr 29, 2011, 6:03 PM | Updated: 7:54 pm

Despite an obvious need at the position, the Arizona Cardinals did not draft a quarterback with their first-round pick. They might not even draft one with their second or third round picks, either.

But does that worry Coach Ken Whisenhunt?

Not at all.

“It really goes all back to preparation,” Whisenhunt said as a guest on Sports 620 KTAR’s Doug and Wolf Friday morning. “I think we’ve done a very good job of being prepared for whatever scenario unfolds for us. We’ve put a lot of time [and] a lot of effort into evaluating a number of different players [and] a number of different scenarios and I think we’re prepared to go when we have opportunities.”

It’s now evident that Cam Newton, Jake Locker, Blaine Gabbert and Christian Ponder will not be present in any scenario the Cardinals have left.
