Every day, ArizonaSports.com asks readers a question. It’s the Sanderson Ford Poll Question of the Day, and it can be found midway down the right side of our home page.

On Friday, August 1, we asked what fans thought of the two trades the Arizona Diamondbacks made before the non-waiver deadliner — Gerardo Parra to the Milwaukee Brewers for outfielder Mitch Haniger and left-handed pitcher Anthony Banda and Martin Prado to the New York Yankees for minor league catcher Pete O’Brien.

Overwhelmingly, supporters of the team came away not all that impressed.

Of the 1,024 votes tallied, 41 percent (423) suggested Kevin Towers and Co. did just fine and another 34 percent (350) thought the front office could have done much better.

An additional 19 percent felt the D-backs had a disastrous time of it at the deadline.

Of the four moves Arizona made in the month of July, only one netted a big-league player — Brandon McCarthy to the Yankees for Vidal Nuno.
