ASU, Arizona represented on Phil Steele Preseason All-Pac-12 Teams

ASU wide receiver Jaelen Strong was the only player from either ASU or Arizona to be named to Phil Steele’s 2014 Preseason All-Pac-12 First Team.
In all, 10 ASU players and seven Arizona were on one of Steele’s four teams.
Strong, a projected first-round pick in the 2015 NFL draft, led ASU with 75 catches, 1,122 yards and seven receiving touchdowns last season.
ASU running back D.J. Foster, tackle Jamil Douglas and kicker Zane Gonzalez were on the second team. They were joined by Arizona wide receiver Austin Hill, linebacker Scooby Wright and safety Jared Tevis.
Hill missed the entire 2013 season with an ACL tear, but caught 81 passes for 1,364 yards and scored 11 touchdowns in 2012.
ASU quarterback Taylor Kelly was on the third team, behind Oregon’s Marcus Mariota and UCLA’s Brett Hundley. As for ASU’s rival, tackle Mickey Baucus, safety Tra’Mayne Bondurant and punt returner Johnny Jackson made the third team.
ASU guard Christian Westerman, a former five-star recruit according to Scout.com, was on the fourth team, along with teammates De’Marieya Nelson, Dalvon Stuckey, Salami Fiso and Damarious Randall.
Westerman’s first game experience as a Sun Devil came during the Holiday Bowl, while Stuckey is transferring from junior college.
Arizona offensive lineman Fabbians Ebbele was the lone Wildcat on the fourth team.
