On Saturday, the Arizona Cardinals announced the addition of linebacker Trevardo Williams, who was claimed off of waivers from the Houston Texans.
Williams, 23, was drafted in the fourth-round by the Houston Texans in the 2013 NFL Draft out of the University of Connecticut, but spent his rookie season on the injured reserve with a knee injury. The 6-foot-1, 237-pound linebacker was given All-Big East first-team honors, playing 11 of 12 games that season at defensive end, recording 43 tackles and 11.5 sacks.
The Cardinals released cornerback Todd Washington in a corresponding move, making room on the roster for Williams.
