The UA-USC rivalry has been mostly one-sided, as the Trojans are 28-8 all-time against the Wildcats, including a 38-31 win in Los Angeles last season in USC’s first game after firing head coach Lane Kiffin. Wildcat quarterback B.J. Denker threw for 363 yards and four touchdowns, and running back Ka’Deem Carey rushed for 138 yards in a losing effort.
The Wildcats upended then-No. 9 USC in their last meeting in Tucson, as QB Matt Scott threw for 369 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 100 yards and a score in a 39-36 win in 2012. UA overcame a Pac-12-record 345 receiving yards from USC wide receiver Marqise Lee.
