Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald (11) blows a kiss as he leaves the field after an ...

Longtime Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald added another accolade to his repertoire in late 2020.

The future Hall of Fame wideout’s latest achievement had nothing to with his pass catching abilities, however, as Fitzgerald netted the third-largest sum for a house in Arizona history, according to Phoenix Business Journal.

Fitzgerald’s 13,929 square foot home in Paradise Valley sold in November for $18 million, according to Realtor.com.

The 17-year NFL professional bought the mansion, which is located on three acres of land near Camelback Mountain, in 2015 for just over $3 million.

His palatial home sold in a single day to an anonymous buyer, with the purchaser being associated with a San Francisco accounting firm.

The nine-figure haul isn’t exorbitantly more expensive than the surrounding homes in Paradise Valley, which is the most-expensive ZIP code in the state of Arizona.

The median listing price for a home in the Valley hamlet is $2.5M, according to Realtor.com, with the median sold home price being $1.8M.

Whether Fitzgerald’s decision to move on from his Valley home is a harbinger of what’s to come regarding his playing career is yet to be seen.

Fitzgerald, 37, has spent his entire career with the Cardinals, dating back to when he was drafted by the franchise with the third pick of the 2004 NFL Draft.

Questions about the 11-time Pro Bowler’s retirement were stirred up by Cardinals’ defensive line coach Brentson Buckner, after the team lost to the Los Angeles Rams in their regular season finale.

Buckner in a since-deleted tweet, referenced that the Jan. 3 loss to the Rams was Fitzgerald’s “last ride,” implying that his storied NFL career had run its course.

“Last ride with my brother. Great player, GREATER PERSON! Thanks for the memories! @LarryFitzgerald SALUTE KING!! Canton start your clock!” Buckner’s tweet said.

Fitzgerald has made no announcements about his future on the gridiron, but his roots in the Valley are a bit less tethered than they were.

What we do know is that Fitzgerald adds another $18M to the $180M he’s reportedly earned during his storied playing career in the Valley.
