Quarterback Drew Stanton did not practice all week due to a lingering knee injury, and the Arizona Cardinals confirmed Saturday that he would be inactive for the team’s playoff game against the Carolina Panthers.

Ryan Lindley will make his third straight start when the Cardinals take the field at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.

Second-year guard Jonathan Cooper was limited in practice all week with wrist and knee injuries, and the team said prior to kickoff that he would be among the inactives, as well.

Also inactive Saturday are wide receiver Brittan Golden, safety Chris Clemons, defensive tackle Alameda Ta’amu, guard Anthony Steen and defensive end Kareem Martin.

Defensive players Larry Foote, Calais Campbell, Tyrann Mathieu and Frostee Rucker were among those listed on the Cardinals’ injury report this week, but all four will be available for the Wild Card game.

Inactive for Carolina are safety Thomas DeCoud, linebacker A.J. Klein, cornerback James Dockery, defensive end Frank Alexander, defensive tackle Kyle Love, guard Amini Silatolu and tackle David Foucault. The Panthers will have quarterback Derek Anderson and running back DeAngelo Williams available Saturday; both were listed on the team’s injury report this week and marked “probable” on Friday.

The Panthers (7-8-1 regular season) and Cardinals (11-5) open up the playoffs at 2:35 p.m. MST. The game can be heard on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM.
