Arizona Cardinals celebrate Seattle Seahawks’ Super Bowl loss

The Seattle Seahawks attempted to win their second straight Super Bowl on Sunday night, but it’s safe to say the Arizona Cardinals weren’t wishing them well along the way.
The two NFC West rivals and their respective fan bases have built a fair amount of animosity toward each other, particularly over the last two seasons as the clubs have emerged as two of the better teams in the NFL.
Arizona handed the Seahawks their lone home loss in 2013, but Seattle swept the season series in 2014. The Seahawks started out the season 6-4, but they won their last six regular-season games to claim a first-round bye in the playoffs. Arizona, meanwhile, finished 11-5 but fell in the wild card round of the playoffs to the sub-.500 Carolina Panthers.
Seattle beat Carolina and Green Bay en route to its second consecutive Super Bowl berth.
Pete Carroll’s group appeared to be in good position for another victory as the team was down by four but on the one-yard line with under a minute to play. However, Russell Wilson threw an interception at the goal line, and New England held on for a 28-24 win in Glendale, Arizona.
Needless to say, Cardinals players did not shed a tear as the Seahawks were down. A sample of some of their responses via social media are shown below, along with Antonio Cromartie’s comments on the Seahawks and Patriots’ late-game scuffle.
