Seattle Mariners outfielder Leonys Martin celebrated his birthday on Monday, but he still had to go to work.
The guess is he wasn’t bummed about it when he began his workouts in Peoria, Ariz.
Martin’s teammates hired a Mariachi band to spend the morning following Martin throughout his practice sessions.
Here they were serenading the team as Martin wore a Sombrero while warming up.

The band’s time had been paid for, but Mariners teammate Kyle Seager needed more Mariachi music in his life and paid for the band to keep on going.

Martin then went through a soothing batting practice session.

And he even tried to sing along.

As light-hearted as a move it was to bring the Mariachi band for Martin’s birthday, well, he thought it was more than a moving gesture by his manager Scott Servais and his teammates.
