Browns reportedly among teams after Cardinals S Tony Jefferson

It sounds as if there will be a bidding war for the services of safety Tony Jefferson.
The Cardinals’ free agent is reportedly drawing interest from the Cleveland Browns, and the team’s offer that could be north of $9 million per season just might be enticing for the safety to accept, according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo.
Cleveland has a “legit shot” at signing Jefferson, Garafolo reported, but the Baltimore Ravens are also in the mix.
Arizona Sports 98.7 FM’s John Gambadoro reported that Jefferson will not return to the Cardinals.

Earlier Wednesday, Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole told Bickley and Marotta on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM that the New York Jets and Oakland Raiders could be candidates to land the free agent because of their cap space. The rising price to land Jefferson might be “too steep for the Jets to take on,” Cole added.
NJ.com reported a source believes Jefferson will be a target of the Jets and head coach Todd Bowles, who coached Jefferson when as Arizona’s defensive coordinator.
Jefferson wasn’t giving away much about his free agency process but did tweet the following.

Calais Campbell courted by Raiders, Jaguars
Free agent defensive end and lifelong Cardinal Calais Campbell is another name linked to several NFL teams outside of Arizona.
Rapoport reported the Jaguars could be after the 30-year-old.
Meanwhile, Raiders linebacker Bruce Irvin has been using Twitter to campaign for Campbell to consider the Raiders.
