Adrian Peterson’s agent: Returning to Minnesota not in running back’s ‘best interests’

Is the Adrian Peterson saga coming to a head?

It just might be.

For weeks now it has been speculated that the running back wants out of Minnesota, with the team working feverishly to try and convince him to give them another shot.

But about that…

There has been a prevailing belief that if the Vikings do indeed trade Peterson, the Arizona Cardinals top the list of potential suitors.

It has been reported that the Cardinals are willing to trade a high draft pick for the 30-year-old, who played in just one game last season before being suspended due to charges of child abuse.

In 2013, Peterson ran for 1,266 yards and 10 touchdowns. Since being selected seventh overall in the 2007 NFL Draft out of Oklahoma, he has rushed for 10,190 yards and 86 touchdowns while being named to six Pro Bowls, a First-Team All-Pro three times and the 2012 NFL AP MVP, PFWA MVP and AP Offensive Player of the Year.
